Restaurant Hallway Wainscoting in The Corner Charlottesville VA

Fully installed and painted wainscoting with clean lines in a restaurant hallway

A busy restaurant hallway in Charlottesville had sustained years of wear during the course of normal business operations. Hand trucks and dollies from deliveries had repeatedly struck the wall, leaving the sheetrock with missing chunks, black smudges, discoloration, and scrapes.

Plywood wainscoting was installed over the damaged section of the wall. The wainscoting was then painted plum, creating a more pleasant environment for the people who work there every day, with a surface that will resist future deterioration. One panel was carefully cut around the existing electrical receptacle, which was brought forward to sit flush with the new surface.
